The Department of Surgery, Akhtar Saeed Medical & Dental College Lahore was established in year 2008 at Akhtar Saeed Trust Hospital Lahore.DHA, EME Sector, Lahore than in year 2012 Unit-II, was established in Fraooq Hospital WastWood Lahore.  

OPD of Surgery Department is running successfully both Units all six days a week and emergency services 24/7 hours. Both hospitals has well equipped modern operation rooms.  All type of major and minor surgical procedures are performed rottenly  facilities of laparoscopic surgery are available in both hospitals.  Hospital has well equipped intensive care unit (ICU) and HDU.

The department has facility of demonstration rooms for clinical teaching of student of 3^rd year, 4^th Year, 5^th Year MBBS,  3^rd Year BDS  ,3^rd Year DPT and 4^th Year DPT.

Student’s demonstration room is equipped with teaching aids like Dummies/Manikins, Couch, White board and multimedia with adequate seating capacity. The department always has outstanding results with distinctions and university positions in final professional exams of UHS.  The Department is recognized by CPSP for post graduate training since 2016.
