The department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology has two units. Unit I is situated at Akhtar Saeed Trust Hospital DHA, EME and unit II at Farooq Hospital, West Wood Lahore. The gynae outdoor department is successfully running clinics of high risk pregnancy, feto-maternal, family planning, oncology, infertility and menopause. The department is managing all types of cases with a high standard of professional and nursing care.

 The department always has outstanding results with distinctions and university positions in final professional exams of UHS with 100 percent result in obs/gynae for the last 3 years.  The department is also recognized by CPSP for post graduate training since 2011.

The department holds the honor of conducting preconference workshops in collaboration with SOGP in both hospitals. In last few years our department organized workshops of cervical cancer screening, PPH, operative hysteroscopy (hands on), and insertion of subdermal implant. The 2^nd National Symposium on Urogynaecology was held at Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College in March, 2015.

All procedures ranging from painless delivery, operative delivery major and minor obstetric and gynaecological procedures and laparoscopic surgeries are being performed by the department of obstetrics & gynaecology. Farooq Hospital has all advanced tertiary care diagnostic facilities like colour Doppler, Ultrasound & TVS, CT Scan and MRI, state of the art ICU, CCU and well equipped nursery with paediatric ventilators.
